We stayed at the Westin Ka'anapali Ocean Resort Villas which is where my parents own a timeshare. The resort was beautiful!

We had the opportunity to go whale watching while we were in Maui - and we saw A LOT of whales!
Round Out or Peduncle Arch - When preparing for a deep dive, humpbacks will arch (hump) their back and raise their tail flukes above water.

The whale's pectoral fin!
Hawaii is one of the most (if not THE) most beautiful place I have ever been to. Here are some great shots of the sunset on the beach:

We went to Black Rock one night to watch the reenactment show. Hawaiian legend states that the spirits of warriors left the earth to meet their ancestors by leaping from this rock. Again, the sunset and scenery were breathtaking.

We took a day and did "the road to Hana." We went a longer route so we could see more of the scenery. Our first stop was the North Shore - surfers and beautiful scenery.

We were unaware of how ... scary ... the drive along the North Shore of the island is. It was a one lane, narrow, winding road up and down the side of a mountain! NOT for those afraid of heights - like myself. I kept my eyes locked outside the passenger window and did not look down!

After the LONG, NARROW, WINDING road we finally made it to the famous "road to Hana" - which is also a long, narrow, winding road - it just isn't along the side of a cliff (in most parts).
